Advertising: what coffee co ran commercials with a continuing story line- girl meets boy. 1970's, early 80"s?

One "episode" had something like the girl eying the guy - as she's sipping a cup of coffee. In another he knocks on her door to borrow coffee. In another they go out - over coffee. We looked eagerly to the next commercial to see what was happening with the romance. Surprisingly I didn't see this approach tried in other ads since.
