Does he not want to talk to me or am i just over-thinking it?

theres a guy i text a lot right? and i sort of like him. whenever i text him he responds eagerly and we usually talk for a while, like it goes on from the morning 'till we go to sleep a night. We texted a little bit less than we usually do last week but talked more in person. This week I decided to give him some space, letting him text first and whatever...but it has been 4 days since a text has been sent. Im not that clingy, but when someone is routine in your life almost every day and then its yanked from you for four, you wonder whats up. Im usually the one who texts him first so he could just not want to bother me, but i really want to talk to him! what should i do?
