Stressfull interracial realtionship help please!!! ?

Ok, so I have been dating this guy at my university for about two months. Everything is great, except for he has a crazy, bitchy ex girlfriend. He is European (spaniard) and I am black. She works at a bar near campus, that I sometimes go to with my girl friends. I had never had any problems with her or even really noticed her at first. She was even nice to me while serving me and my friends drinks. Until one night, i went to a restaurant with a female friend who is also black. His ex happened to be there, and was clearly wasted. I heard her say to her friend, "oh my god, look at those black bitches!". I was pissed, but left it alone because I wanted to be the mature one, and didnt want to give my bf a reason to think that I was anything like his ex. She continued to mock us, and laugh, pointing her finger at us, at the same time barely standing up straight. I continued to ignore her, because i figured she was just jealous. My friend said she even over heard her asking a waiter if "those two black girls" were attractive. I was pissed, but kept myself together. I saw her a week later at her job, and she wouldnt even look at me, or make eye contact. On top of this, people are always staring at us, and we have also had bad experiences when going out on dates together. I just wish that I could just be more comfortable with him in public and ignore haters. But it seems like no one wants to see us together. My boyfriend's black male friends will come up to me on campus and constantly talk **** about our relationship, and tell me to stop messing with white dudes. I even had a couple of my black male friends stop talking to me because of my bf. I really like this guy and hes such a great bf, but everyone intruding in our relationship is starting to get old. We have only been together two mintgs, and i'm afraid it will never change! Im sorry I'm just venting because it's so irritating. Anyone been in a similar situation or willing to give advice?
